PRIMARY JOB PURPOSE:
Test and troubleshoot customer / service repair units for RMA department. Test and repair electronic printed circuit boards to component level. Applies knowledge of electronic principles in determining PCB malfunctions in order to restore functionality.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Test and trouble shoot ruggedized uninterruptable power supplies to component level but not limited to repairs, assembly, testing or visual inspection.
Test a variety of PCB’s and systems following manufacturing procedures.
Troubleshoot a variety of PCB’s to the component level.
Able to use various equipment such as oscilloscope, multi-meter, signal tracer, load boxes, power supplies, etc.
Performs preventive maintenance as directed.
Performance other duties as assigned.
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS:
Assists with special projects as needed.
SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
Analog and power electronics experience and mechanical assembly skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Thorough knowledge of electronic components and equipment including the use of special instruments for diagnostic purposes.
Must be safety conscious.
Knowledgeable in safe handling of high voltage electricity.
Willing to work any shift and overtime as required.
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
ASEE (or equivalent experience)
2 – 5 years related experience.
Good data analysis and problem solving skills.
Good computer skills (Excel, Word, MS Access)
Self-motivated and self – reliant
Strong team player with a positive attitude.
