New Rugged-UPS™ Product Certified to Military Standards

Westwood, MA—May 26, 2009 -- Acumentrics Corporation, the leading supplier of rugged uninterruptible power supplies (RUPS) to the military, today announced that its new ACG1253 Series RUPS products with a 1U removable battery pack has been tested and certified to military standards 1399 (Interface Standards for Shipboard Systems) and 461E (EMI).

This 2U high RUPS unit is compact and designed for vertical bulkhead mounting on shipboard applications. The vertical orientation provides significant space savings over the typical horizontal rack mount UPS applications. The removable 1U battery pack provides “hot swap” capability with the unit in the vertical orientation and a runtime of up to 26 minutes under full load (1000W).
