Rugged-UPS™ (Uninterruptible Power Supply)
Acumentrics has a long and distinguished history developing highly-reliable power products including Rugged-UPS™ (uninterruptible power supplies) for the harshest environments. As Advanced Power Solutions, Inc. - a manufacturer of custom power supply products - we were purchased in 1994 and quickly became successful manufacturing Rugged-UPS™ (AC and DC uninterruptible power supplies) for military power supply, industrial power supply, power conditioning and battery backup. Today, Acumentrics has an extensive portfolio of rugged power electronics products including Rugged-UPS™ (uninterruptible power supply), military UPS, Industrial-UPS, power conditioners and power accessories with 60,000 units deployed globally in military and industrial sites for:
Acumentrics customers worldwide include Raytheon, General Dynamics, TeleCommunication Systems (TCS), L-3 Communications, Lockheed Martin Corporation, SAIC, CACI, BAE Systems and the United States military including the Coast Guard, Army, Navy and Marine Corps.
In 2007, Acumentrics acquired Fuel Cell Technologies Ltd. of Kingston, Ontario, a solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) system developer. This acquisition added new fuel cell engineering skills for products for the home, military, and commercial markets. Subsequently, we successfully installed products that produce power from landfill biogas in U.S. National Park Service locations, U.S. National Laboratories and many other challenging locations.
Presently the company develops fuel cell power generators in the 1-10kW range for remote power, military and residential applications. These systems are used for clean, quiet and efficient electrical power generation applications and in situations where combined heat and power (using the byproduct heat) is optimal.
Our corporate, administrative, research and development, engineering and manufacturing headquarters are in Walpole, Massachusetts, USA.
