Adam P. BriggsPresident and Chief Executive OfficerAdam Briggs has spent over 25 years in global power sources industries, with specific experience developing and marketing new power generation products including uninterruptible power supplies (UPS). Adam joined Acumentrics in June 2009 as President and was named CEO in January 2010. Prior to joining Acumentrics, Mr. Briggs was President of Millennium Cell Inc., a hydrogen storage technology company. From 1984 to 2001 he was with Duracell, the battery company that became a division of The Gillette Company, where he held roles of increasing responsibility in the technical, sales, marketing and program management functions. He was Vice President of Duracell's global OEM sales and consulting group that was responsible for the company’s worldwide business with manufacturers of battery-powered electronic devices when he was recruited to join Millennium Cell. Adam earned a bachelor's degree in physics in 1985 from Bowdoin College. John CerulliChief Financial OfficerJohn Cerulli has over 15 years experience in financial management in both public and private companies. John held several senior level financial roles including Treasurer and CFO of SABAL Investors, LLC, an early-stage private investment company. In addition, John acted as a consultant to a number of companies in need of financial analysis, business development, restructuring, cash procurement or merger and acquisition services. Mr. Cerulli has negotiated several multi-million dollar transactions for the real estate, professional athletics, tribal casino, technology and medical industries. John received his BS in Accounting from Bentley College in 1993 and has served on the Board of Directors for several not-for-profit charitable organizations. Norman BessettePhD, CTO & Senior VP of EngineeringNorman Bessette is responsible for the engineering and manufacturing of the fuel cell products, engineering Rugged UPS products, and the research and development for government, military and corporate partnerships. Prior to joining Acumentrics, Dr. Bessette spent seven years at Siemens Westinghouse Power Corporation responsible for managing a $13 million fuel cell facility and $3.4 million in U.S. Department of Energy contracts. Dr. Bessette has published over 10 journal papers and has five patents either issued or under review related to SOFC (Solid Oxide Fuel Cell) technology. Dr. Bessette obtained his BS in mechanical engineering from the University of Massachusetts-Dartmouth in 1990 and received his MS and PhD. in mechanical engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 1994. Ersson ZapataSr. Vice President of OperationsErsson Zapata has over 13 years of experience in the power electronics and service industries specifically in the role of operations and supply chain management, and brings a wealth of experience in managing worldwide operations, supply chain, process reengineering and lean manufacturing methods to our Rugged-UPS™ and SOFC businesses. He has worked for prominent companies like American Power Conversion (uninterruptible power supplies) and SynQor (power supplies and power converters), setting up both domestic and international factories and new business acquisitions and integrations. Steven GravesVice President of Sales and MarketingSteven Graves has over 20 years of sales and management experience in the technology and power sectors. He joined Acumentrics in August of 2007 and became Vice President in August 2009. Steven came to Acumentrics from Azima, Inc., a remote monitoring technology start-up with a focus in the power industry, where he was Director of Sales. Prior to Azima, Steven spent a number of years in sales with Novell and Cambridge Technology Partners. He received a BS in Nuclear Engineering from University of Massachusetts - Lowell in 1983 and an MBA from Georgetown University in 1989. Robert TomasettiVice President of Business DevelopmentRobert Tomasetti brings more than 25 years of proven UPS (uninterruptible power supply) sales and marketing experience both in the U.S. and South America to this role. Bob comes to Acumentrics from Toshiba International Corp. At Toshiba, he raised the bar by consistently setting sales records for the corporation's UPS (uninterruptible power supply) line. He also established Toshiba as one of the leading UPS distributors in South America in 1998 and achieved outstanding success breaking UPS sales targets in that area of the world. Paul BuzzottaVice President of AdministrationPaul Buzzotta has over twenty years experience as a Human Resource Manager and Senior Business Partner at various companies including BD Biosciences Discovery Labware, Bristol Myers Squibb Medical Imaging, and The DuPont Merck Pharmaceutical Company. Prior to joining Acumentrics, he held positions as Field Sales Manager, E. I. DuPont de Nemours and Company’s Automated Clinical Systems Division, and Manufacturing Manager for DuPont’s NEN Research Products. Throughout his career, Paul has maintained a passionate interest in the advancement of science, and the development of people.
