This senior position’s primary purpose is to collaborate with our existing power electronics team to develop and implement next generation rugged UPS systems and inverters that provide high value solutions to our customers.
Essential responsibilities:
This senior level position leads the complex design and analysis of new circuits and systems. Responsible for overall product and electrical system design integrity. Directs PCB sub-system and system design, release to manufacturing, quality and volume objectives of product development process.
Provides technical guidance to others, interfaces effectively with personnel across multiple disciplines, and demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Analyzes customer, regulatory, manufacturing requirements to design, analyze, prototype, and document new analog and digital circuits necessary for new product development.
Select, specify, qualify and document components necessary to implement design.
Analyze new designs and understand the tools necessary to perform worst-case analysis and FMEA.
Plan and support sub-system and system design verification testing.
Support product development team to release product to manufacturing and meet quality volume goals.

Minimum requirements:
MSEE or equivalent degree or training.
5+ years experience in the design of power electronics and analog circuits.
A through knowledge of power switching topologies, magnetic design, feedback control loops is required; experience in implementing digital control loops in DSP and FPGA is very desirable.
SPICE tool proficiency.
PC software proficiency (MathCAD, Excel).
